Pilot Spotlight

Pilots Gayle Gorman Green and Richard Green of Mansfield, Ohio, earned the Federal Aviation Administration’s Wright Brothers Master Pilot award for 50 years of safe flying, one of the few husband and wife teams to achieve the honor. Green is a retired US Air Force officer and former commander of the 179th Airlift Wing, while Gorman Green was CEO of airfield lighting company Manairco and comes from a family of aviators, with her parents and older brother also earning the Master Pilot Award in 2006 and 2022, respectively.
