Mandan Regional Airport in Bismarck, N.D., has added an LED rotating beacon with a life span of 50,000 hours and a bulb that will only need to be replaced every 10 to 12 years. The beacon, only the second of its kind in the state, will reduce electricity costs by 65% annually.

Students at Wisconsin Dells High School in Wisconsin Dells, Wis., now have access to an interactive flight simulator with three monitors, thanks to a donation from the Baraboo-Dells Airport chapter of Students in Aviation, a nonprofit that offers free Federal Aviation Administration-approved flight training. "The goal is hopefully for students who use the simulator here (at the high school) that have an interest can come to us to extend further on that," said Students in Aviation's Anastasia Eisen.
