FAA Safety Team: Plan to be proficient when we all start flying again

FAA Safety Team | Safer Skies Through Education
Plan to be proficient when we all start flying again
Notice Number: NOTC0114

Take advantage of the FAA’s Pilot Proficiency program, also known as WINGS, on FAASafety.gov.  There you will find 511 online courses for pilots to refresh your aviation knowledge.  Most of them are free.  And, if you complete a Phase of WINGS, our FAASTeam Industry Member, the WINGS Industry Advisory Committee, offers you a chance to win in the Fran and Paul Burger Sweepstakes.    Go to mywingsinitiative.org for more information and to see the last two year’s winners.

Too many online course choices to choose from?  Start with the courses listed on the WINGS Topic of the Quarter checklist.  You can take all four courses listed on the checklist now.  Then, you’ll be ready to flip the checklist over and complete the flight activities once it’s safe to be with your CFI again.  We should all get some time with a CFI before we jump back in an aircraft and head out with family and friends.  Check out the WINGS Topic of the Quarter checklist at this link: https://faasafety.gov/gslac/ALC/libview_normal.aspx?id=190751
