It’s with great honor and privilege, that we present to George Leamy, an Honorary Lifetime Membership Award in the Spartanburg Pilots Association.
George is a Clemson graduate with a civil engineering degree. He is a veteran of the Korea war conflict where he flew reconnaissance missions in a L5 aircraft. He is well known for restoring older aircraft and their engines. He has owned a J3 Cub while he lioved in New York and also a 1947 Stinson. He is known by all as the “Grand Wizard” of all types of model planes, automobiles and trucks. George donated a treasure trove of aircraft historical artifacts to the Spartanburg American Legion Post 28 for everyone to enjoy.
